“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination. – Carl Rogers
This quote could not be more relevant for me right now. I have so many goals and things I want to accomplish in life, however; I often get discouraged when I don’t get to those goals like I thought I would. Despite reaching my destination, I beat myself up for not following my plan.
I have been thinking about success and life in all the wrong ways. This is because there is no right way to achieve your dreams. As long as you are heading in the right direction, there is nothing to worry about.
It is funny how we can plan and plan for life to go a certain way, but when we look back, we ended up where we are in the most bizarre and unplanned ways. Really, happiness comes from not worrying.
If we could all just focus on what truly matters in our lives rather than the what if’s and what could be’s, we would be much happier. Life will take you to places you never imagined possible if you let it. Stop fighting and just go with the flow. It will all work out exactly as it should. Life is good.
